We, as local Las Vegans, are very proud that our exciting city has become one of the premiere world class golf destinations in the world. In just the last five years alone, our community has been the beneficiary of more than 20 good-to-great golf courses that have sprung from the ground with the speed of a downhill putt at Augusta National. If this keeps up, we'll go from being Sin City to Pin City!

Just think of the wonderful recent additions to our desert landscape. A "shortlist" of courses that have sprung forth since 1995 would include: The Snow Mountain and Sun Mountain courses at the Las Vegas Paiute Resort, Rio Secco, the Desert Course and Lake Course at Primm Valley, South Shore and Reflection Bay at Lake Las Vegas Resort, the Badlands, TPC Canyons, Desert Pines, Royal Links, Red Rock Country Club, Dragon Ridge Golf and Country Club, Southern Highlands Golf Club, Anthem Country Club and Revere at Anthem, Cascada, Silver Stone and Bali Hai. At last count, Las Vegas had over sixty courses with another thirty on the drawing board. Every one of these new gems has received either regional or national honors for beauty and playability and made several Best New Course lists.

Las Vegas is now home to events on all of the major professional golf tours, such as the Las Vegas Senior Classic, the Las Vegas Invitational and the Senior PGA as well as the LPGA Tour.
